10 Performance through diversity and inclusion

Leveraging organizational practices for equity and results

The purpose of this final chapter is to draw on the preceding chapters to consider how leaders (and researchers, by engaging with leaders) can move organizations toward sustained inclusion that produces enhanced performance and equity from diversity. The chapter calls for leaders to supplement, and in some cases modify, their past efforts, based on the practices and processes specified in this book’s Framework for Inclusive Interactions, depicted in Figure 10.1.
