Welcome! The goal of the first part of this book is to give you a solid grounding in serverless computing, from both a theory (Chapters 1 and 4) and a practical point of view (Chapters 2 and 3). By the end of this part, you should be able to explain to an interested colleague why they should consider serverless for their next project, and show them some concrete examples of applications you can build with serverless.
