Why Is Nobody Else Doing This?
Highlights
We entrepreneurs are insecure souls. We thrive on attention, nervously seeking hordes of adoring clients/customers and even groupies. It’s almost cult-like. Being loved is our security blanket.
But we are also threatened when we hear the footsteps of competition encroaching on our turf—real or perceived threats, zeroing in on the bullseye targets on our backs.
All of that having been said, we feel most insecure standing out in a field of nothing and nobody. You find yourself in a dilemma fed by self-doubt. Where is everyone? Why are there no (or very few) other businesses playing in my sandbox? What am I doing wrong?
This solitude might be cause for quiet celebration, not whiny panic.
