Now we’ll practice how to take the approach of a coach by looking at possible responses to the following situation. After reviewing the different responses to the scenario, identify which aspects of the approach of a coach are or are not exemplified in the answers.

A new employee has just joined your staff. He has made a big error in a key report that was reviewed by senior management. You say:

A.  “Don’t ever do that again. We’ll talk about this more during your 30-day review.”
