Chapter 9. LaTeX in a Multilingual Environment
This chapter starts with a short introduction to the technical problems that must be solved if you want to use (La)TeX with a non-English language. Most of the remaining part of the chapter discusses the babel system, which provides a convenient way of generating documents in different languages. We look in particular how we can typeset documents in French, German, Russian, Greek, and Hebrew, as the typesetting of those languages illustrates various aspects of the things one has to deal with in a non-English environment.
