Hi there, glad to see you made it to Chapter 2! Now that we have officially kicked things off, allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Netta, and in this chapter, we're going to explore some of my biggest fears—dogs and company surveys. Okay, alright, I'm joking about the first one (I actually am terrified of most dogs but that's not the topic for this chapter), but we are going to dive in and unpack company surveys—what they are, how they are used, and how they can be used most effectively.

You Have the Right to Remain Dishonest

Company surveys are like your corporate Miranda Rights. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of workplace. Now for all of you folks who already have a prepared rebuttal, you know where to find me—on LinkedIn! But before you send that strongly worded message, hear me out for a second. Remember in Chapter 1 I said that this journey will require us to experience a level of vulnerability. There will be points throughout this book in which you feel challenged, and perhaps now is one of them. But most important, we will get through this together. I want to remind you that this book is not just about you—it's about building an inclusive organization that unequivocally includes you but also very much includes other people who may have completely opposite experiences and opinions, which is the beauty of inclusion.
