A single set production can be any type of location from a forest to a ship. By definition it is simply a play that takes place in only one location. But the most common type of single set production is a room or rooms in the interior of a building or house (Figure 10.1).

A box set is a term used for a realistic single set interior with complete walls, that is, one that is like a box with furniture in it and windows and doors.
