It is fair to say that shared benefit is seen in the West as emanating from first putting in place successful business arrangements. This is not a primary business goal but, rather, a derivative or consequence. As such, it represents an aspiration; one that is only addressed once the more serious business of reaching profit targets has been secured through negotiation and deal-making leading to intense ratification through legally-binding contracts.
