What’s Your Story?

You’re at a networking event (at time of writing, it was in the form of Zoom calls) and as you meet people, the deer in the headlights question often comes up. “What do you do?” “Or, tell me about yourself?”

You have now been officially put on the spot. This is even more amplified in a business networking event and the Zoom calls (akin to appearing on broadcast TV) where you would have had 30 seconds to a one minute to tell people about yourself.

You’ve been asked to provide your elevator pitch or, in personal branding terms, your story. The pressure and stress for most of us is palpable.
