The Two Types of Color

Without color, there is no illustration, merely invisible paths. A path is an abstract concept, conveying no information to the viewer, until the application of a fill and/or a stroke. It’s color that produces the image, attracts the attention, AND conveys the message. Virtually everything done in Illustrator is about putting color in the correct places to create an image.
