2.1   Introduction

2.1.1   Agriculture in India

India is a major country whose economy is based on agriculture. There are various crops such as fruits, vegetables, oil seeds and millets. Villages are the major source of crop in our country. Besides exporting agricultural products at global level, almost 120 countries are benefitted by India’s agriculture. According to the GDP data of India, there has been an increase of 6091.05 INR billion in January 2020 from 3664.29 INR billion in July 2019 (GDP 2019). Figure 2.1 shows the GDP of India.
