Finding Third-Party Integrated Applications

Because QuickBooks is so popular with small businesses, plenty of companies besides Intuit develop applications to fill the niches that QuickBooks doesn't handle itself—or doesn't handle very well.

The QuickBooks Solutions Marketplace

The QuickBooks Solutions Marketplace Web site is one place to look for third-party programs. In QuickBooks, choose CompanyOnline Company ServicesFind Integrated Applications to open a browser to the QuickBooks Solutions Marketplace, shown in Figure 21-4.

Programs listed in the Solutions Marketplace share Sharing data with other programsdata with QuickBooks, but target different industries or services. Sure, Intuit offers editions of Manufacturing, Nonprofits, Professional Accountants, Professional Services, Retail, and Wholesale, but the Solutions Marketplace offers additional software in those industries as well as accounting solutions for industries such as agriculture, hotels and restaurants, transportation, and utilities.
