So why look at mobile, handheld, and wireless technologies at all? What do they have to do with learning?
Let’s review a few key trends. In 2005, the year of this writing, The Gartner Group expects wireless headsets to reach one billion units in circulation, outnumbering televisions and personal computers combined. Gartner also estimates that more than 75 million handheld PDAs are now in use (Gartner, 2005).
