Package Distribution
Chapter 7 described how to build Windows XP Professional distribution points, including the $OEM$ folder. Windows XP Setup copies the $OEM$ folder to the target computer during installation ($OEM$\$1 to %SYSTEMDRIVE% and $OEM$\$$ to %SYSTEMROOT%), so this is the perfect location for distributing packages. Success is greatly enhanced by minding the following considerations:
Single file. Chained installations are easier to manage if they are in self-contained, compressed package files.
