SharePoint Web Services
SharePoint natively exposes a number of Web services that developers can use when developing SharePoint applications. Using SharePoint Designer 2010, you can also leverage several of these Web services using the SOAP Web service connection to access list and document library content within site collections.
SharePoint Web service files are located on the SharePoint Web front-end server in the following locations listed in Table 19.3.
