Managing JavaScript in SharePoint Master Pages
During one of my presentations, when I was demonstrating how to use JavaScript to toggle the ribbon display on anonymous SharePoint sites, someone asked how to manage JavaScript where an organization, or user, has blocked JavaScript in the browser. This prompted further investigation into how you can elegantly manage those situations. After all, it’s impossible to control how users configure their browsers, so you need to ensure that you add some additional logic to the master page to manage that.
