Chapter 85. Drop Shadows & Feathering
If you have been spending too much time using Photoshop or Illustrator to add drop shadows and soft edges to your objects, you’ll be happy to discover that you can achieve them directly within InDesign. These features create transparency, which adds some complexity to the printing process, so be certain to read Chapter 94 to learn about printing transparent objects.
Applying Drop Shadows
You can apply a drop shadow to anything on your InDesign page: imported graphics, text frames, lines, and even tables (see Figure 85-1).
