Chapter 5. Service Development
In Chapter 2, we introduced the concept of capital goods software; this chapter provides an explanation of how to implement such IMS applications by means of two use-cases implemented using IMS service composition, which we described in Chapter 4. The first use-case is a virtual call center application. Its implementation relies extensively on JSR289-compliant SIP applications and demonstrates some of the finer points of SIP signaling manipulation using a SIP container as part of the development of an IMS application.
