Using Your Appraisal Form
Now that you’ve assessed how well the individual performed during the review period, it’s time to transfer your judgments of the individual’s performance to your company’s appraisal form.
The first step is to figure out how effectively the form you’re using allows you to appraise performance. Every appraisal of an individual requires considering two components: behaviors and results. Does the form your company provides allow you to appropriately describe and evaluate both what the person accomplished and how she went about doing the job?
