I have dreamed of being a published author since I could pick up a piece of paper and a pencil to write down my thoughts. For many years, I imagined that writing was a solitary act and a writer was someone who worked alone. But when I began the research for Future First, the first thing I noticed was how every author who inspired me had thanked hundreds of people in their acknowledgements for contributing to their books.
