Cardiff Metropolitan University (CMET) was the Times Higher Education UK and Ireland University of the Year in 2021 due to its people-oriented culture, management, and artificial intelligence (AI)-robotics initiatives. Cardiff Met has been named a top three university in Wales in StudentCrowd's Best Universities in Wales 2024 ranking, voted by students (Cardiff Metropolitan University, 2024a).
