Trend 1—Remote Working

Introduction

Traditionally, financial services firms have to operate from offices and branches with very little remote working or working from home. This has been caused by several factors.

The first one is the obvious need that firms often have customer-facing branches which need staff to support them. It would not be possible to run a bank branch with staff working remotely.

Secondly, there was a traditional “alpha-male” attitude in financial services where the staff was expected to work long hours in their office to prove their dedication.
