In This Chapter
Chapter 7, “Building a Custom Linux Distribution,” explored how to build your own custom Linux OS stacks and create root filesystems to boot them. For the examples in that chapter, we used software packages for which the recipes are provided as part of the default metadata layers that are included with the OpenEmbedded build system.
