A
- alignment
The way text aligns along the right and left sides of the page. You can set the alignment of each paragraph in your document.
- AutoCorrect
A feature that corrects spelling errors as you type. You can also use AutoCorrect to enter long phrases automatically.
- AutoText
A feature that lets Word “memorize” long blocks of text that you use frequently so that you can quickly insert them in your document.

- bar tab
A custom tab stop that creates a vertical line at the tab stop.
- border
Lines around one or more sides of a paragraph (or paragraphs). Word offers a wide variety of line types and colors to choose from.
