An old boss of mine who was a high-ranking technology executive once said, “When I look around at all the brilliant people I work with, I have no idea how I managed to get this far.” He was one of the funniest, honest, and hard-working people I knew. Perhaps more than anyone else I encountered, he also possessed all the skills described in this book. I don’t believe there is much mystery behind the level of success he was able to achieve.
