The Next One Hundred Days

Clearly I believe that it is time for managers and organizations to explicitly recognize that data and information are business assets, to manage them as aggressively and professionally as they do other assets, and to put them to work internally and in their marketplaces. Although I expect many, perhaps even most, managers will agree with these sentiments, I also expect they will recognize the daunting challenges of doing so. Each of the tasks of systematically improving quality, bringing data and information to market, and evolving management systems requires enormous effort by itself, never mind all at once.
