My second prescription calls for organizations to put their data and information to work both inside the organization and out. Inside, they must leverage them to speed supply chains, connect departments, develop a total view of the customer and understand customer profitability, first improve and then optimize their business processes, better manage their increasingly multinational employee base, ferret out unnecessary expense, and speed innovation.
