Cyber defence is aimed at protecting cyberspace from external and internal threats. It is a computer network-led defence mechanism which includes responses to actions and critical infrastructure protection, information assurance for organizations, government entities and other possible networks. It focuses on preventing, detecting and providing timely responses to attacks or threats so that no infrastructure or information is tampered with. With the growth in volume as well as the complexity of cyberattacks, cyber defence is essential in order to protect sensitive information as well as to safeguard assets.1
