Change happens! Perhaps a better way to say that worn-out phrase is that change must happen! Organizations are dynamic and reflect the surrounding environment. Consider personal computers and associated devices; the change consequences from these items are considerable. Organizations exist within a complex and changing environment. The changes within the organizational context (e.g., societal, technological, and customer preferences) place pressure upon the organization to remain relevant and competitive.
