17. Shape Layers and Paths

Did you know Photoshop also allows you to create graphics from vector paths, in the form of shape layers? These layers can be combined, modified, and formatted with strokes, fills, and effects. The advantage of using vectors instead of pixels is that they are resolution independent. You can output them at any size without a loss of quality. Edges and curves will always be crisp and clear.
