Application to the Management of Soccer Matches
This section analyzes shortcomings that could be overcome to improve the game.
Introduction
A soccer match is an event like many others that can be effectively organized even by a group of students according to the five management processes—as frequently done in the author’s management course assignments (see chapter 2). However, what is attempted here is something original and quite different, namely, management during the match itself as it takes place on the field. The analysis will nevertheless be based on the same elements that have been used throughout this book such as objectives, skills, roles, and processes.
