Bio

Karen Kaushansky is an experience design leader, consultant, and futurist who works on things 5 to 10 years before they are on most people’s radars. Karen creates meaningful and connected experiences in the physical world spanning hardware and software. Named one of the top 75 designers in technology by Business Insider, Karen has worked on speech recognition, voice biometrics, conversational UIs, and autonomous vehicles. She was most recently director of experience for Zoox, a company building an autonomous vehicle for the future. Previously, she worked for Jawbone designing interactive and audio experiences on devices such as the Big Jambox, Mini Jambox Icon, and UP and spent many years as a voice user interface designer designing complex speech recognition systems at Microsoft, Tellme, and Nuance.
