These values are in reference to the "ifconfig le0" command near the top of
page 128. The broadcast address reported by this command is

The only route that does not require a command is one on Linux. All others
I have tested (Solaris 2.6, 7, 8, HP-UX 11i, Tru64 5.1, AIX 4.3) require a command.
