Color Key: Serious Technical Mistake Minor Technical Mistake Language or formatting error Typo Question

I'm not sure if the chapter "number" for the first chapter is a typo or simply

a poor font choice, as it appears to be the numeral zero followed by the capital
letter I "eye". The same text appears on page 2, simply at a larger point size, so
at least the choice is consistent.

Finally, I'm not sure why the typesetter chose the cutesy style of inconsistent use
of the baseline for the numerals in the chapter numbers; chapters 1, 2, 6 and 8 use
the same baseline for the pertinent digit as 0, while for chapters 3, 4, 5, 7 and 9
the pertinent digit has a lower baseline. In a book that is about effective
interface design, I find this an amusing choice to encounter on practically the very
first page of the book.

3rd paragraph of the page & caption of Figure 2-4 on the same page

There is minor mistake in the third paragraph: "The iTunes music store organizes its
thousands of songs by album, artist and then genre..."

In fact, a genre is selected first. The text should read, "The iTunes music store
organizes its thousands of songs by genre, artist and then album..."

The mistake is repeated in the caption in Figure 2-4: "The iTunes Music Store
categorizes songs by album, artist and then genre."
