The listed URL, if typed into the address bar, results in a 404 error. In various help forums, employees of O'Reilly have provided a "correct" link, which also results in a 404 error. This is listed as a typo on the errata listing, and was allegedly fixed in 2011, but it clearly remains as an epic mistake.

I cannot find the answers (solutions) for the exercices done with the practice files downloaded at http://go.microsoft.com/FWLink/?Linkid=206095.

I am presently doing the Excel exercises.

Could you please tell me where and how I can have access to these?

Thank you

2nd para, lines 4-5

Remove sentence, "When more than two windows are stacked, the ribbon is hidden automatically." This doesn't appear to be correct. I stacked multiple windows and the ribbon remained visible.

Under "To create a new font set", step 3, 2nd bullet

Change ...heading styles to ...body styles. Bullet should read, "In the Body font list, click the font you want to use for all body styles."

Lines 5-7

The 2 bullets under "To store a clip art object in the Clip Organizer" are not accurate as worded. Suggest:
Bullet 1: Delete end of sentence, "and then click Make Available Offline."
Bullet 2: Replace first word "In" with the word "Click".

Under the subheading "To unhide the first row or column of a worksheet"

Under the subheading "To unhide the first row or column of a worksheet" in page 219, step 1 says "In the Name box to the left of the Formula Bar, enter , and then press Enter."
This sentence should say "In the Name box to the left of the Formula Bar, enter A1, and then press Enter." In other words, the sentence is missing A1.

"Practice Tasks" box

In bullet-point #2 the "Practice Tasks" box on page 227, the reader is instructed to do the following: "Group the By Product and Sales By Product worksheets, and then apply the Austin theme to the worksheet group."
The issue is that the method of applying a Theme wasn't properly covered in the Excel section of the book up to & including this page. I didn't realize until I did some external research that, to apply the Austin theme, I had to go to the Page Layout tab, then find the Theme group, which is to the left of the Page Setup group, and use the drop-down on the Theme icon in that group to find & apply the Austin Theme.

Practice Tasks box, task 1, line 1

The only worksheet in the named workbook is named "Sheet1".
Change "On the Product Sales worksheet..."
to "On the Sheet1 worksheet..." (Note: This same entry for page 293 should have been for page 251)

5th major bullet, first (only) sub-bullet

I don't think there is a "Character Spacing button" on Home/Font. Must use technique of opening dialog box.

line 12, 2nd step 3

Suggest rewording to improve clarity. Current wording results in all occurences being deleted, past and future, which means occurrences that may still be wanted for historical purposes are also deleted. Suggest:
3. In the Appointment Recurrence dialob box, click the Remove Recurrence button to remove all past and future recurring items from the calendar, or, set the End After or End by options to end an items recurrence while retaining a specific range of recurring items on the calendar (i.e., for past events that are no longer continuing).
