In Figure P-2 int he Preface, there are two graphs with titles "US CNP card-present fraud losses [2011-2018]" and "US CNP credit card fraud losses [2011-2018]". From context, it appears the figure is supposed to illustrate an increase in card not present fraud since ~2015 and corresponding decline in "card present" fraud. For this reason, I think the title of the first graph is incorrect, I believe it should be simply "US card-present fraud losses [2011-2018]" since "CNP" is an abbreviation commonly understood to mean card not present. |
