The Mini-Player |
This is a report/suggestion of missing very important information that should be included in future editions. BTW, this report is also applicable to Twelfth edition, page 260, but errata reports for that edition do not yet seem to be instantiated on your web site.
The discussion of the Mini-Player in your text should include finding the "Shuffle" and "Repeat" button controls. It is necessary to scroll down within the view of the Mini-Player to even see these buttons and also an alternative view of the "Up Next" list. This "rest of the Mini-Player" is not discussed in Missing Manual. Persons who experience unintended (or seemingly un-commanded) repeats will be hard pressed to find how to deal with it except by insightful web searching. Such coverage belongs in Missing Manual, as well as index entries for Shuffle and Repeat. I believe the display of the button controls is slightly different in iOS version 12 and version 11. Why? Because most users of "missing manuals" are NOT completely adept at looking for the answers on line; that's what missing manuals are for!
The appearance and functions of these controls is different than I the "Up Next" illustration (page 257 in 11th edition, page 267 in 12th edition). But the use of those controls for shuffle and repeat is not discussed in the Up Next section of the manual.
