Printed | Page Fig. 8-8 and page 409 boxes |
After I went through the page 409 steps which worked fine but also puts an icon on the desktop; then I read Figure 8-8 and pages 307-8 which seems much simpler and easier, since I will usually only use the Desktop. |

Direction is to 'click Control Panel, Switch to Classic view'. There is no switch to Classic view. I suspect Switch from Category to Small Icon is meant. |

The tip says that pressing the Microsoft-key plus Q brings up the Search for Settings, while on page 10 it says this brings up Search for Programs. Page 10 appears to be correct. |

Printed | Page 30 3rd paragraph in the "Power Users' Clinic" at the bottom of the page. |
After searching for "power" in Settings, "Choose what the power buttons do" does not appear in the list. You have to click on "Power Options" and then "Choose what the power buttons do" on the right. In the next screen, you click "Change settings that are currently unavailable". Click "Hibernate" at the bottom of that screen, then "Save changes" at the bottom left. |

Printed | Page 30 'Bringing back the Hibernate command' box |
I only see 2 options after following your instructions, 'sleep' and 'lock'. There are no 'hibernate' or 'turn on fast startip' which I also see on the internet eg 'redmond pie' web site screen shots. But I note that Microsoft say that hibernation is not offered as an option for windows 8. I am administrator but was not asked for my password, and I have not yet upgraded to SP1. My computer is a Samsung series 5 with AMD and was purchased autumn 2012 with Windows 8 pre-installed. Maybe I am doing something wrongly? |

ePub | Page 47 TIP boxes (both) |
The first "TIP" fails to state that if you have previously set your lock screen to LOCK when ... you will not be able to access the Lock screen settings by pressing W + C, highlighting "SETTINGS" and then W + L; this causes the LOCK screen to appear and lock your computer necessitating input of your password. |

Printed | Page 473 "turn off file sharing" |
I think the last line of that section should say "turn off all the sharing options" and not "turn of all the sharing options". |
