line 15

Hi,

In page 61 (chapter 3), line 15 you write :

2001:DB8:0:0:2AC4::/64

It seems that it must be 2001:DB80:0:2AC4::/64

Best regards.

Note from the Author or Editor:
2001:DB8:0:0:2AC4::/64

should be:

2001:DB8:0:2AC4::/64

Figure 4-14

The structure shown in the figure doesn't match the description in the following text, i.e. the fields don't match.

Note from the Author or Editor:
Figure 14-4 is incorrect. For the correct version, see page 35 of the "Introduction to IP Version 6" white paper at http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9/b/e9bd20d3-cc8d-4162-aa60-3aa3abc2b2e9/IPv6.doc.

Question 2

It currently says:

"Express FE80:0000:0000:0000:02AA:0000:0000:007A more efficiently.
FE80::1:2AA:0:0:7A"

The "1" in the answer doesn't appear in the long version of the address. So, the answer should be FE80::2AA:0:0:7A

(Alternately, you could modify the long version to include a 1, but then you'd have to change it on page 89 as well.)

Note from the Author or Editor:
The customer is correct. The correct answer is FE80::2AA:0:0:7A.

The extra "1" is an unfortunate artifact from the 2nd Edition version of the book, in which I used a site-local address (FEC0:0000:0000:0001:02AA:0000:0000:0007A).
