Starting with some basic assets, we'll demonstrate and talk through the entire process of building a complete 2D game of Asteroids, complete with gameplay, physics, lighting, and user interface. We'll then turn the floor over to questions from the audience. If you're just getting started using Unity, or if you want to discover a fantastic tool for creating 2D and 3D cross-platform games, you won't want to miss out. This talk is designed for those with minimal or no experience with the Unity game development environment. No 3D graphics, or graphics or games programming experience is required. About Jon ManningJon Manning is a world renown iOS development trainer and writer, game designer and mobile software engineering wizard. He has co-authored two books on mobile development and enjoys re-implementing such things as OpenGL and the Objective-C runtime (in his spare time). Jon is also a researcher in Human-Computer Interaction working towards a PhD.
