Zac is currently a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Chicago Center for Data Intensive Science. As a postdoc, Zac's focus is on building data commons particularly utilizing NOAA environmental data. Data commons are a movement towards data science as a service where large collections of data are made available for joint analysis. He has a Ph.D. in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma where we focused on development of flash flood prediction systems for the U.S. National Weather Service. In his free time, Zac develops tools to enhance the visualization of the weather data collected around the world.
