Installing and activating the O’Reilly app for Microsoft Teams

The Answers by O’Reilly app is only available to current O’Reilly enterprise customers. To use it, your organization’s Microsoft Teams admin needs to install the app and then activate it. Follow the steps on our Answers by O’Reilly install page to get started.

Using SSO deep links with Answers by O’Reilly

If your company is using single sign-on (SSO), we can enable the Answers by O’Reilly app for Teams to use deep links. The benefit of using deep links is that the full-text links from Teams will authenticate you seamlessly. To enable deep links with the O’Reilly app, contact customer support after you’ve installed it.

Using Answers by O’Reilly in Microsoft Teams

Ask questions privately in a direct message
In Teams, you can open a chat directly with the Answers by O’Reilly app in the left navigation menu. Within that chat, all you need to do is ask a question and O’Reilly will respond with highly relevant snippets of content.

Get answers in any public team channel
Just type “@Answers by O’Reilly” followed by your tech question. It’s that simple. For example:

@Answers by O’Reilly how do I fine-tune a model?

O’Reilly will respond to your question with highly relevant snippets of content right within the channel.

Flip through the carousel to see a maximum of four possible answers.
