The RHCSA exam is the most popular Linux certification. It teaches Linux administrators, users and developers the skills needed to work with Red Hat Enterprise Linux in any environment. Red Hat exams measure professional readiness through real-time performance. This course – which is a mix of focused content training and hands-on labs and exercises - is built to help you successfully prepare for the exam and to give you the knowledge and practice you need to develop your skills. .

Explore Linux basics, storage management, and SELinux management before jumping into managing containers and much more. Experienced trainer and author Sander van Vugt covers each main topic in the exam, walks you through the labs that were constructed to replicate the skills you will need to perform in the testing center, and shares his vast experience as a certification trainer and Red Hat expert so you can learn everything you need to get RHCSA certified.

Note: There are three types of labs provided in this class.

  • Labs: Learners new to the topics will work on Katacoda scenarios. These will provide, step-by-step guidance to complete individual tasks.
  • Lab Challenges: Learners with some CLI experience can jump to these Katacoda Challenges. These are ungated are built in Katacoda and test your skills without oversight.
  • Real CLI Labs: Learners who feel ready to take the exam should work on the open lab assignments, which the instructor will provide during class.

Prerequisites

  • Knowledge of Linux Fundamentals is required to successfully participate in this class.
  • Note: In addition to the contents covered in this live course, participants are encouraged to study the video course

Course Set-up:

  • The course participant needs to prepare an environment where virtual machines can be installed. It doesn’t really matter which software is used for this purpose. If the participant has no preference, then using either the free Oracle VirtualBox or the non-free VMware Workstation or Fusion is recommended. Also, the student needs to download the latest version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9/x and perform an installation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9/x, using the “Server with GUI” installation pattern.
