Linux Fundamentals Bootcamp is an 8-hour intensive hands-on training course teaching the skills you need to start using Linux quickly. Expert trainer and author Sander van Vugt designed this hands-on training for people who are new to Linux, and who are looking for a solid introduction into Linux fundamentals. Learning Linux is the first step to a modern tech career – from systems administration to DevOps, cloud engineering, security, data science, and more, Linux is the key. This course will serve as a foundation for working with Linux Subsystem for Windows. It is also for those who need and want to learn about Containers and Kubernetes – both of which are built on top of Linux. This course was designed for people with limited or no knowledge about the Linux operating system. It will teach participants about core Linux essentials, such as Linux distributions and installation, working with Linux Commands, getting help, working with permissions, managing processes and more. This course also acts as the start to studying for any Linux certification, including Red Hat RHCSA, Linux Foundation LFCS, and CompTIA Linux+.

Prerequisites
Course Set-up
- Students should prepare their computer with virtualization software so that a Linux virtual machine can be installed. Installing CentOS is a good option. Download the installation ISO for the latest version of Centos. Do not download the minimal ISO. You'll need the full installation ISO. Information on installing CentOS can be found here
