Design, Deploy and Manage Infrastructure in AWS

  • An intensive deep dive into the AWS ecosystem, including security, infrastructure, applications, and monitoring
  • Dedicated labs and demos showing how to get work done in AWS, from deployments to operations and beyond
  • Real-world examples with demos focused on strategies and tactics you can use in the field

Hands-on AWS in 3 Weeks is an intensive bootcamp-style training designed to give you the skills you need to get work done in AWS. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is an ever-growing ecosystem of services, ranging from infrastructure to serverless, AI/ML and beyond. Each organization uses AWS in different and unique ways, and it is critical for technology teams to make informed decisions about how to deploy infrastructure and protect intellectual property. This hands-on training course will walk you through designing, deploying, and managing infrastructure in AWS. Full of hands-on demos and labs, this is the course where you learn by doing.

The AWS ecosystem is expanding rapidly, and it is important to follow best practices and good architecture design at the start, to prevent backtracking later. The Hands-on AWS Bootcamp will help new and existing customers understand the foundational services and use them to deploy resources to match their requirements. The content will focus on demonstrations, showing single service usage as well as how services work together.

What you’ll learn and how you can apply it

By the end of the live online course, you’ll understand:

  • The basic principles behind solutions architecture for cloud-native applications
  • The differences between on-premises security and public cloud security and how to take advantage of the huge breadth of AWS security services
  • The dependencies required to deploy infrastructure using Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings in AWS
  • The strategies and advantages for connecting multiple AWS services together in a pipeline

And you’ll be able to:

  • Implement solid identity management and security foundations in a new AWS account
  • Provision a global VPC network and deploy compute, storage, and database resources into that network
  • Implement multi-tier architectures using AWS-managed services
  • Visualize and monitor AWS cost while observing proper cost optimization principles

What you’ll learn and how you can apply it

  • How to manage identities and permissions as well as enabling basic AWS security features
  • How to create infrastructure including global networks, compute, storage, and database resources
  • How to perform operations and regular maintenance using automation
  • Methods of monitoring and securing both the AWS account and the deployed resources
