▶ An Interview With Lou Berger

Lou Berger joined the staff of the Children’s Television Workshop to write for the Sesame Street series in 1988. He became head writer in 1998. Over the two decades that he was with the series, Lou received ten Emmy awards. He wrote the primetime special Sesame Street Stays Up Late, an international New Year’s Eve show; and co-writing with Judy Freudberg, he wrote the primetime special The Street We Live On, which was nominated for a primetime Emmy for Outstanding Children’s Program. Lou also received an Emmy song nomination for his work as lyricist on “The Street I Live On.”
