Preface
The first edition of “Wireless Network Security” was published, only five years ago, in 2012. However, looking at the pace of technological advancements and developments which have surpassed the state-of-the-art presented then, it was time to take these into consideration. The present edition comprises:
- New versions of the IEEE 802.11 standard
- The omission of the chapter on PDAs, since their functions have been absorbed by Smart Phones
- The technologies and services of Smart Phones
- New versions of Bluetooth up to V 5.0 and specific threats
- Near Field Communication
- Networks security in general
- Emergency Management.
