Chapter 3: Configuring an Ubuntu Linux profile
Earlier, we discussed how Windows Terminal excels at discovering and managing different shells on our system. Up until this point, however, we've only seen the PowerShell and Command Prompt shells in action. As our first alternative shell of the book, let's install and use Bash on Ubuntu, from inside Windows Terminal! In this chapter, we'll install the Windows Subsystem for Linux, version 2 (WSL2) and learn how to use it from inside our terminal.
By the end of this chapter, we will have an Ubuntu shell installed on our system, and will be able to launch it from Windows Terminal. We'll cover the following topics:
