Navigating Among SharePoint Sites
Unlike the previous version, WSS 3.0 offers a wide variety of ways for users to navigate among sites. With its new features, an organization can easily use WSS 3.0 as a portal solution, although it lacks some of the features and functionality that Windows SharePoint Server 2007 offers in that arena. A few key elements of navigation include:
Quick Launch. Displayed on the left side of most SharePoint sites directly below the View All Site Content link. The Quick Launch displays links grouped in different headings for quick access to a site’s most popular items, whether a library, list, site, or any other item accessible via a URL.
