Before beginning Windows EBS installation, you should have a clear idea of how your Windows EBS network will handle DHCP, DNS, and e-mail. You also need to take special preparatory steps if you are going to migrate to Windows EBS from Windows SBS 2003.
DHCP Server Settings
In Windows EBS, the Management Server can be enabled to act as a DHCP server, dynamically assigning IP addresses to the client computers that are connected to the network. If you choose this option, you can configure the DHCP server during the Windows EBS Management Server installation. To prepare, you need the following information to define the DHCP scope that the Management Server uses:
